PHASE 2: THE PLAN

There are quite a few questions to answer when creating a business plan. Long gown are the days where you would have to take months to complete a 100-page plan that you would rarely revisit. The beauty in this process is that you can always make changes to your plan.

While creating your business plan, you should consider the following questions:

  • What do you do that you want to be paid for?

  • In what ways is your product is fulfilling a want or need?

  • Who are your customers and where will you find them?

  • Who is your competition and what can you learn from them?

  • What trends or upcoming changes might impact your offering?

  • How will you reach potential customers?

  • How will you sell your products/services?

  • How much will you charge?

  • Who will you work with to make this happen?

  • What will your business need in order to thrive?

Don't worry about being too detailed in your business plan. So long are the days you were required to write a 100-page business plan. Focus on creating a 1-page, Business Model Canvas (BMC) allows you to create a concise go-to document that clearly articulates your plan.
