Kente refers to a Ghanaian textile, made of handwoven cloth, strips of silk and cotton. Historically the fabric was worn in a toga-like fashion by royalty among ethnic groups such as the Ashanti and Ewe. It is also worn by queens, princesses and women of Dagbon. 

Bogolan or Bògòlanfini is a Malian handmade artisan cloth made from organic handspun and handwoven cotton that is dyed using plant matter and fermented mud. Mud cloth, as it is more commonly called, was traditionally used as a healing cloth.

Adinkra symbols are a beautiful symbology originated by the Akan people of West Africa. These symbols were originally used on adinkra textile for Akan funerals, and have since grown into being used for everyday fashion.
